Only select cars, trucks and SUVs from Chevy, Buick, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn that meet our strict age, mileage and condition requirements can become Certified. Many don't make the cut because they can't meet the standards we've created. Each Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle from Chevy, Buick or GMC must undergo a rigorous 172-Point Inspection and an extensive mechanical and appearance reconditioning process. Once Certified, it receives our new, exclusive 2-Year/30,000-Mile¹ Standard Certified Pre-Owned Maintenance Plan, and is then backed by both a 12-Month/12,000-Mile² Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty and a 5-Year/100,000-Mile³ Powertrain Limited Warranty.

If you currently own a GM Certified Used Vehicle, you can have faith in our tagline: No Worries. We will still honor the warranties and extra benefits that came with your vehicle. GM remains a strong company, but for clarity's sake we decided it was best to identify the different GM makes in our name: Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn makes and models that meet our rigorous Certified selection and certification criteria. The vehicle cannot be more than six model years old, and it must have 75,000 miles or fewer on it, and a clean title. Learn more about our certification criteria and processes.

Many Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles dealers have a Certified sign in front of their dealership. If you don't see the sign, just stop by your local dealer to check, or use our Certified Pre-Owned Dealer Locator to locate a dealer near you.

Look at the vehicle's window. Certified vehicles will have a window label identifying them as a Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle from Chevy, Buick or GMC. Once you see a window label, you can be assured you're entitled to receive the benefits that only Certified can bring.

Every Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle from Chevy, Buick or GM is required to undergo a rigorous 172-point mechanical and appearance inspection administered by factory-trained dealer technicians. The technicians ensure that everything from the drivetrain to the windshield wipers is in good working order or they recondition it to our exacting standards. The vehicles are road tested, put up on a lift for a complete underbody and frame inspection and then completely checked for any cosmetic flaws.

The number of plan service visits during that time is strictly dependent upon the vehicle's Oil Life Monitor system. A Vehicle History Report provides you with details about your specific vehicle—alerting you to major problems like past accidents and fires, or hidden titles. We offer a complimentary vehicle history report with every vehicle we sell. CARFAX, the most trusted name in vehicle history reports, is our preferred supplier.
