What are GM Certified Used Vehicles?
GM Certified Used Vehicles are an entirely different way to buy your next car - providing you with the confidence of a new car and the affordability of used.
Only select GM cars, trucks and SUVs with strict age and mileage restrictions can become GM Certified.
Many don't make the cut because they can't meet the standards GM has created. Every GM Certified Used Vehicle must undergo a rigorous 117-Point Inspection process and an extensive mechanical and appearance reconditioning process.
It is then backed by a 12-Month/12,000-Mile bumper-to-bumper warranty1, and a 5-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited warranty2

What GM Vehicles are included in GM Certified Used Vehicles?
Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn makes and models that meet the GM Certified selection and certification criteria
as noted. The vehicle cannot be more than six model years old, and it must have 75,000 miles or fewer on it.

How can I tell if my dealer is a GM Certified Used Vehicles Dealer?
Many GM Certified Used Vehicles dealers have a GM Certified sign in front of their dealership.
If you don't see the sign, stop by your GM dealer to check, or use the
GM Certified Dealer Locator to locate the GM Certified Used Vehicle dealer nearest you.

Once I get to the dealership, how can I tell if a vehicle is GM Certified?
Look at the vehicle's window. Only GM Certified vehicles have the GM Certified Used Vehicles window label.
If you see the GM Certified window label, then you can be assured you're entitled to receive the benefits that only GM Certified can bring.

What sort of inspection does a GM Certified Used Vehicle undergo?
Every GM Certified Used Vehicle is required to undergo a rigorous
117-point mechanical and appearance inspection by factory-trained dealer technicians.
The technicians ensure that everything from the drivetrain to the windshield wipers is in good working order. The vehicles are road tested, put up on a lift for a complete underbody and frame inspection and then completely checked for any cosmetic flaws.
Following the inspection, the vehicles go through a road test and complete reconditioning process to bring the vehicle up to GM's exacting standards, and then they are issued their final certification.
